Verndale welcomes Anyush Sahay as our newest Support Engineer. He comes to us from NorthernSafety Co., in Utica, NY where he was employed as an Application Developer. Ayush holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering in Mumbai, India and earned his M.S in Computer Science from State University of New York Institute of Technology in Utica, NY.

Lauren McDonald joins us as our Marketing Coordinator. Prior to Verndale, Lauren worked in the Marketing Dept. at Vision Advertising in Worcester, MA. Lauren holds a B.A. in Marketing with a focus on Professional Writing from Fitchburg State University.

Lastly, Verndale welcomes Metalwerx, FamilyLife and Zenith RMM as this month’s newest clients.

Google recently announced it was updating portions of the “Caffeine” update to help give users more recent, timely, and fresh search results. Many SEO professionals find the freshness update to be more subtle than the Panda update in terms of its impact on rankings, and has shown to help “data-specific” or time-stamped content as well as hyper-new content. A useful tip to gain the benefits of data-specific rankings is to utilize RSS feeds on content within your site that is regularly updated. This will time-stamp the content, ensuring search engines can locate it.
