An important part of conversion optimization, form optimization aims to improve the rate at which users complete filling out all of the fields within a form. Users abandon forms for various reasons, but mainly because they don’t want to provide the information mandated by a certain field. In order to identify which field or fields are causing users to abandon, you need to apply some advanced tracking to the form page. There are three methods within Google Analytics that allow for this type of tracking: Virtual Page Views, Event Tracking, and Jquery. Eliminating one mandatory field within your form could cause your conversions to skyrocket. Learn more about form optimization and other Google Analytics optimization strategies by watching Verndale's latest webinar, 'Getting the Most Out of Google Analytics'.
