Google Wants to Make the Web Faster - and They Plan on Ranking Sites that Are Faster

There has been a lot of talk about Google Caffeine, a major algorithm update that is set to slowly roll out early next year. One significant update that is rumored is Page Load Time being factored into the algorithm. Last year, they announced that load time had been added as an additional quality score factor to the AdWords PPC ranking algorithm, which led to much speculation that it will be included in their natural search algorithm. In this interview with Matt Cutts, he confirms there is serious talk within Google to incorporate it into the algorithm.
