H1 Tags Play an Important Role in Your Page’s Search Engine Ranking

Google has many different factors they use to rank web pages – title tags, incoming links, on-page text relevancy, etc. One of the most overlooked, yet one of the most important of these factors is the H1 tag. Google looks at heading tags as a way to “sum up” the information that is on your web page. Inside the h1 tag should be the main keyword you are trying to rank your page for and it should be similar or identical to your page’s title tag. Putting an h1 tag on your page is something so easy and beneficial that there is really no reason why anyone shouldn’t have them!
