Set a Blogging Goal for 2011

Have you come up with a New Year’s resolution for 2011? How about a blogging goal? Could you blog once a day or once a week for the entire year?  

WordPress recently issued this very challenge to bloggers, asking them to write posts weekly or even daily, and tagging the posts with “postaday2011” or “postaweek2011” each time. WordPress also announced that they have created The Daily Post, which will provide tips, topics, and inspiration every day. How will this help with SEO?

Search engines value "fresh" content, which is why frequent blog posts will keep search engine spiders coming back to your website for more. More published content and more frequent crawling typically results in more visibility. Deep intra-linking from posts to other pages/sections of your website will also help with SEO and drive traffic to those pages/sections, picked up on Google Blog Search, RSS, Social Networking material, etc.
