Understanding Metrics with In-Page Analytics

Posted October 25, 2010

Do you find yourself lost in web measurements when using Google Analytics? If you’re more of a visual person, then you’re in luck. Google recently introduced a new feature in beta called In-Page Analytics which will help users understand their website data and easily visualize how site visitors navigate through any given website. Using In-Page Analytics, you’ll be able to see your website analytics superimposed on each page as you browse. This will allow you to see which links visitors are clicking on and which options they are choosing. You can access this new feature on the left hand side of the content reports inside Google Analytics. While In-Page Analytics is still in beta, it has received many positive reviews and has already proven to be an improvement over the “site overlay” functionality. Contact your web analytics management team if you have any questions on this new feature.
