About the Account Consultant Position
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure your clients are meeting their business goals, by developing an online strategy for all accounts you serve and executing against those goals through selling Verndale's services. You will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships and serving as the client's primary consultant and advocate internally. The person in this position will be responsible for overall customer satisfaction, renewal and reference-ability.
Responsibilities
- Develop an online strategy for all assigned accounts
- Document this strategy through an account plan which outlines overall objectives for a particular account for a calendar year, and manage tracking and modifications of the account plan on a routine basis
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Verndale team to ensure fulfillment of client objectives and expectations
- Schedule routine "road-mapping" sessions for all clients to discuss the projects associated with their online strategy yearly or more frequently as needed
- Ensure client satisfaction across all Verndale projects and services
- Serve as an outlet to your clients for any customer service issues
- Monitor and measure customer service levels and facilitate improvements at Verndale based on results of customer satisfaction surveys
- Work with clients to generate new sales opportunities to leverage Verndale services, and follow through sales cycle to close
- Track and record all customer activities through Verndale's CRM system
- Participate with the Project Manager in project meetings as appropriate to ensure all client deliverables are fulfilling the objectives outlined in the strategy
- Maintain open dialog among Verndale employees to ensure customer's message and opinion is translated across the entire organization
- Execute on Verndale marketing initiatives across your clients as applicable
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide excellent communication internally and with clients
- Lead brainstorming sessions and strategic discussions
- Ensure written documents and client presentations clearly articulate strategic vision

Qualifications
- 5 - 7 years experience in advertising, marketing, or digital agencies with a concentration in the interactive space
- Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead client presentations
- Solid understanding of Internet technologies
- Ability to learn and assimilate technical information quickly
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
