About the Business Development Executive Position
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for prospecting, developing and maintaining accounts. The primary mission of the New Business Developer will be to pursue and develop new business engagements through research, networking and other proactive methods. The successful candidate will partner with clients to understand and interpret their marketing plans and goals and help them to translate and map those goals against Verndale’s service offerings to help solve Internet related business problems. The qualified candidate must have a demonstrated ability to build, nurture, and leverage relationships with senior and C-level executives using a consultative approach. The New Business Developer must also have experience and confidence in his/her writing and communication skills, and developing and presenting account plans/proposals to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Taking the primary role in new business development and account management from point of first identifying the lead through conversion to client status.
  • Prospect and develop relationships with clients to sell and provide outstanding service.
  • Research potential clients and competitive markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on key accounts.

Qualifications

  • Aggressively goal-oriented focus required
  • 5+ years proven successful sales experience in a web development company
  • Experience selling intangibles
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet goals
  • Ability to understand, convey, and present new ideas to clients
  • Ability to uncover future needs and champion new revenue opportunities
  • Experience and comfort level operation at the Senior/C-Level
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
