About the Technical Trainer Position
Verndale has a new opportunity for a Technical Trainer to join our growing team. The Technical Trainer will play an integral part in the onborading of Verndale’s new employees and enhancing the knowledge of our existing employees. This role will have interaction with every department in the company and client interaction as well. The qualified candidate will be responsible for developing and executing all training curriculum for Verndale’s internal staff and external clients. Training will not only be on systems and technologies but also on Verndale processes and procedures in all departments. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all new employees training during the on-boarding period.
Responsibilities
- Create training curriculum for all of Verndale’s departments (Engineering, Sales, Program Management, etc.).
- Create internal training program, policies, and procedures for Verndale departments.
- Bring all new Verndale employees up to speed on Verndale’s technologies and methodologies (source control, code libraries, our own technologies).
- Provide end user training for our clients on any of our implemented technologies.
- Develop and present classroom and individual training for technical applications; prepare clear and concise written communications and make oral presentations.
- Develop end user reference materials.
- Develops, produces and distributes training schedules on-line and in written form.
Qualifications
- Must have experience training across a wide variety of expertise.
- Must have some form of technology training background.
- Very technically savvy but do not need to be an actual engineer.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven success with past training programs.
- Experience creating and executing training plans from scratch.
- Past experience at web development company a plus.
