Next month, Verndale will be a sponsor at The Boston Bar Foundation (BBF) Casino Night Fundraiser, being held March 18th. As the charitable affiliate of The Boston Bar Association, the BBF assists with the Boston community to advance access to justice and civic involvement by providing legal assistance to those in need, creating opportunities for children, and addressing the needs of the communities. Proceeds from this event help advance the philanthropic and community service missions of this foundation.
Summit Phadke joins our team as a Support Engineer. His previous work experience includes development positions at both Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York, NY, and CyberTech Systems & Software Ltd., in Thane, India. Summit earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai, India and just recently received a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
Also, we welcome Emily Hurley as our newest Project Manager. Emily is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She majored in both Communications and Psychology. Emily’s past work experience includes Roll Call Entertainment, a full-service music management agency which she helped launch and the Bridgespan Group, in the role of Associate Manager of Company Knowledgebase. Her most recent position was as a Product Manager at Thinking Screen Media, Inc. where she served as company expert on all products and their 30 websites.
Ashley Rumbough also joins us as an Account Manager. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University where she majored in both Advertising and English. She is also working towards her graduate certification in Project Management, also at BU, which she anticipates on completing this May. Ashley has spent the last three years working at BigBad, Inc. as both a Project Coordinator and also as a Resource Manager. She assisted multiple PMs with all project-related work and managed short-term projects as well.
Lastly, Verndale congratulates PI Worldwide on the recent launch of Desktop PI and welcomes Marble & Granite, Inc. as our newest client.

Wired Magazine recently published an article about the power of Google’s algorithm and how it rules the web. It starts off by mentioning Google’s plans for this year to make the search engine even smarter by introducing approximately 550 improvements to its already impressive algorithm. The article also provides some interesting areas that separate Google from its primary competitor, Microsoft’s Bing, along with a history of key advances that further explain the quality behind Google’s search algorithm and reasons why Google remains today’s search engine leader.
