New at Verndale

New faces, websites, events and partnerships round out another busy month here at Verndale.

First, we extend our thanks to Ingeniux for selecting Verndale to host the 2009 Boston Road Show. The 4-day event was well attended and gave additional members of our team a chance to train and certify on this powerful CMS platform. Next month, look for Verndale as a ‘Silver Sponsor’ at the 2009 LMA New England Regional Conference.

We welcome Michael Procanik as a QA Manager. Mike holds a BS in Computer Information Systems and Meteorology from Lyndon State College in VT.  His previous experience includes work as a Product Engineer at Tour Andover Controls; a QA analyst at West, a Thomson Reuters business, and most recently as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst at Global Link, Division of State Street Corporation.

Hao Yin joins us as a Support Engineer. Hao comes to us from Soft Servo Systems, Inc. where he was employed as a Web Engineer.  Prior to that, Hao worked at Skyward Mobile, LLC as a Software Developer.  Hao earned his Bachelor’s degree in Societal Statistics from Kwansei Gakuin University in Osaka, Japan and received a Master's degree in Computer Science from Suffolk University here in Boston.

Matt Boulanger joins us as our Marketing Manager. Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he also played on the Division One Baseball Team.  Prior to Verndale, Matt worked as an Account Manager and later as an Inside Sales Manager at Universal Forest Products, Inc, in New Windsor MD.

Verndale congratulates the teams at Goodwin Procter and Barber Foods, on the launch of their new corporate websites and CatholicTV on the launch of its new iPhone App.

Lastly, Verndale would like to welcome the following new clients this month – Iatric Systems, Bryant and Stratton College, and Harris, Baio & McCullough.

Did You Know?

You can gauge the seasonality or recent search volume trends for a set of keywords using Google Insights for Search. Google looks at a keywords search trend from a point in time (normally one year ago), and forecasts its future volume based on historical data leading up to that point. It then compares that forecast with the actual data from the past year. If the gap between the predicted trend and actual trend is small enough, Google calls the trend predictable and will include a 12 month forecast portion in the graph. Work with your search team to understand the impact of seasonality or recent trends on your target keywords and craft online marketing efforts that capture any spikes in volume.
